It is almost 5 years since the first Pickleball club started in New Zealand, and Rotorua Badminton Hall was and still is the venue for this club.  Pickleball is now played in around 40 locations around New Zealand, with hundreds of enthusiastic players (There are literally millions of players around the world).

But what is Pickleball – it is said to be ‘A fun game with a strange name’ and we have to agree with that – it is a lot of fun to play!  It is a cross between Badminton, Tennis and TableTennis, played on a Badminton court with a low net.  You can have a look on Youtube to get a bit of an idea as to what the game is like.

Sessions:
Monday nights 7:00pm to 9:00pm ($8 per person)
Thursday mornings 10:00am to 12:00pm ($6 per person)

If you have good ball/eye co-ordination, then come on down to the courts and give it a go – we’d love to introduce you to the sport.
